Dr. Alex Boden
Dr. Alex Boden (they/them) grew up in New Jersey before studying Biology and Anthropology at Tufts University. At Tufts, they competed on the varsity fencing team and ran the 2016 Boston Marathon, fundraising for childhood obesity and nutrition research. After graduating, they worked as an EMT and Emergency Department Clinical Assistant in Cambridge, MA for 3 years. They attended the Boston University School of Medicine and trained at Boston Medical Center. During this time, they performed qualitative research on burnout in the hospital setting and were part of the team developing the Socially Responsible Surgery physician advocate curriculum, coursework designed to help medical students build practically-applicable advocacy skills.
Outside of their clinical interests, they enjoy Dungeons and Dragons, spending time with their cat, baking, and exploring Boston with friends.
